a 15-year-old boy admits to murdering his parents. >> we're learning more about the oakland couple their troubled son tonight. abc7 tomas ramon is here with more. >> unbelievable was one word that they used to describe the loss of susan a at the hands of their adopted son. he faces the community that has suffered a great loss. >> friends of robert and size an shared their grief at the couple's home. it came when robert's brother says the tragedy is still hard to accept. >> it's unbelievable but you have to come around to believing

it. but i've been getting a lot of support from friends and family. that part has been great. >> unbelievable part the couple's adopted son has confessed to the killings according to police. oakland police were asked to check on the couple that was concerned when they didn't come to work. they came to home on friday. >> after they contacted the individual at the residence, at that time it didn't appear to be anything suspicious. >> they were asked to check on the couple again at 9:30 the same day. that is when officers made a grim discovery in the family car. >> there were two bodies inside the vehicle. >> they arrested the young man whose name has not been released. he says he how soon today have contact with the boy when he younger and now he is mourning his nephew. >> he as a kid killing himself,

this man police have been looking for in connection with the murder friday night in san leandro. he is the father of the 15-year-old girl nine month old baby. >> they are looking for a person that opened fire on a car. the shooting took place around 7:30 this evening. driver pulled over to the shoulder near coolidge avenue after an engine car fire. the passenger is suspected to survive. >> oakland city leaders are talking tough after clashes with protestors and police left damage in the downtown area. police were prepared for more. lilian kim has a look at the damage and what officials are doing to prevent it from happening again. lilian? >> oakland police officers worked overtime just in case, but unlike yesterday there were

no demonstrations that got out of hand. >> probably the architect, we got it from the museum. >> the mayor assessed the damage. occupy protestors stormed in saturday night using a crowbar to get into the building. they knocked down a historic model of city hall and stole flags. this is video of the protestors starting the flags on fire. >> a lot of the young people they are really the people they claim they represent. >> the plaza has been calm today but they increased police levels as a possible repeat saturday. three ors were injured last night. they digs played some of the items they confiscated from some of the protestors they arrested. knives, a hammer, mace, scissors a tear gas canister and a shield when facing off with police.

doubting reports that he drove around railroad crossing gates and into the path of a light rail train. three people including the driver died when the smashed into the nissan pathfinder near sacramento city college. the dead include a 21-month-old boy. pathfinder went around the crossing gates. they say the driver ignored the flashing red lights. train passengers were treated for minor injuries. in florida ten people died early this morning after a pile-up on interstate 75. 18 other people ended up in the hospital. they blame the wreck on poor visibility caused by fog as well as smoke from a brush fire. one more full day of campaigning before florida holds the presidential primary. a new poll shows mitt romney with a 15-point lead with 42% of likely voters and gingrich slipping to 27%.

sacramento city officials had to take down websites after concerns they may have been hacked. the sites have been shut down throughout most of day but tonight the city says it is working to get all three sites back on line. federal prosecutors are threatening to pull the plug called mega upload, 50 million users have content in danger of being erased by thursday. they have frozen the company's

access and it has millions of illegal downloads and other content. seven men have been charged. >> many people are able to pay for things with a phone instead of cash. now a bay area start-up has people texting money to each other. richard hart reports on the drive to discover a better way to transfer cash. >> let's say you've got some money. you would like to send some to a relative far away, maybe in another country. you could go to a wire transfer services but that would cost $20. you would send a check but you don't have a bank account but you do have a phone. what if you could text the money. that is the idea behind a service. maria uses boom to put cash into her phone. >> you give the money and they give you receipt. you send a message to boom and it automatically puts the money

little bit of rain there. this cold front continues to scoot to the south, it will start to fall off a bit. slight chance, maybe a sprinkle or two overnight tonight. here is a look at satellite and radar composite. you can see the frontal system really enhanced as it made its way around the north coast. it's coming down toward the north bay locations. it's kind of falling apart. not a lot of dynamics and you can see the clearing taking place behind this. the clouds tonight, one thing you will notice a lot warmer out there. in the north bay santa rosa, 47 right now. we are looking at low 50s in san francisco and oakland. 48 for livermore right now. san jose, clouds moving in, 51 degrees. there is a chance of a shower possible north overnight. much cooler day tomorrow. we'll be on the back side of the system and northwesterly winds

and temperatures will come down. after that thursday friday and saturday above normal temperatures will move back in. we'll be back into the 60s, maybe some low 70s by the end of the workweek. forecast animation, 2:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, another impulse will move through. friday, mist and drizzle. that may affect your commute drive. tomorrow a little bit of fog developing in the valley areas. then after that the front moves through. westerly winds will pick up and clearing late in the day. that will keep the chill in the air with temperatures coming down to the mid to upper 50s. tonight we'll keep it relatively mild. upper 30s to mid to upper 40s depending on your location and highs tomorrow, no upper 60s or 70s tomorrow. we are looking at mid to low 50s in the north bay. santa rosa, 62. 58 in san francisco. half moon bay, 58 degrees. we were at 66 today.
